The Baptist Health Lexington Institutional Review Board

The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a standing committee established under federal regulations to protect the rights and welfare of all human subjects who volunteer to participate in research studies. The IRB is responsible for reviewing all research involving human subjects, evaluating scientific merit, ensuring that potential research-related risks are minimized, and ensuring that there is full disclosure so that volunteers can make an informed decision to participate.
